Ini merupakan lanjutan dari postingan sebelumnya tentang Latihan Soal Listening UN SMA 2015 yang terdiri dari 15 soal. Dengan adanya pembahasan berikut ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kita dalam Listening Skill. Bagi adek-adek kelas 12 SMA juga bisa menjadikan soal-soal dan pembahasan UN Listening tahun sebelumnya sebagai ajang untuk melatih kemampuan dan pemahaman sebelum menghadapi Ujian Nasional yang akan datang.

PART I


Perhatikan dialogue dari audio yang anda dengar untuk soal No 1.
Woman: What do you think of my appearance. Do I look okay?
Man: Well, yes but it will be more elegant if you wear a long black dress.
Woman: Alright.

1. Narrator: What is the dialogue about?
Dari ungkapan “What do you think of my appearance” Dapat  disimpulkan  bahwa  topik yang dibahas dalam dialogue adalah meminta pendapat tentang penampilan si wanita The woman's appearance.

Man: I have been working since seven in the morning and now I'm exhausted.
Woman: Why don't you take rest for a while?

Dijelaskan dalam kalimat pertama “.... and now I'm exhausted” exhausted memiliki arti lelah, pada pilihan ganda ada kata tired. exhausted bersinonim dengan tired.

Man: How long have you been out of the country?
Woman: Two weeks and it was amazing.
Man: Where did you go?
Woman: Finland for a week, Scotland for four days and the rest I spent in England.

Berapa lama wanita tersebut berada di luar negeri? dari pernyataan “Two weeks and it was amazing“. Kita bisa mengetahui bahwa wanita tersebut berada di luar negeri selama Two weeks.

Man: Hi Tina, you look so busy. What are you doing?
Woman: I'm finishing the report on my research.
Man: What research is that?
Woman: I didn't research about the cause of heart attacks. I did it as my assignment in order to get a scholarship.

4. Narrator: Why is the girl busy? 
Dijelaskan dalam kalimat "I'm finishing the report on my research". Jadi dapat disimpulkan kalau wanita tersebut sibuk karena She is finishing her report on heart attacks.

Perhatikan dialogue dari audio yang anda dengar untuk melengkapi respon yang tepat untuk soal No 5. 
Man: Hi Anita, where are you going?
Woman: I'm going to attend my friend's weeding party.
Man: What a beautiful gown. Did you make it yourself?
Woman: No, my mom made it for me.

5. Narrator: What would the boy probably say?

Ungkapan yang tepat untuk menunjukkan “praise” (pujian) adalah “You look beautiful in the white gown

Kalimat "I can't meet my English teacher at school" menyatakan bahwa wanita dalam dialogue tidak bisa menemui gurunya untuk mengumpulkan tugas. Sebagai seorang teman, kita harus memberikan respon yang memberikan solusi. Jawaban yang sesuai adalah If I were you I would call her.

Candi Prambanan or Candi Rara Jonggrang is a ninth century hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia. The temple compound a UNESCO world heritage site is the largest temple size in Indonesia and one of the biggest in southeast Asia. It is characterized by tall and pointed architecture and by the towering 47 metre high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.

Generally, raw rattan is processed into several products to be used as materials in furniture making. The various species of rattan range from several millimeters up to 5 to 7 centimeters in diameter, from a strand of rattan. The skin is usually peeled off to be used as rattan bending material. The remaining core of the rattan can be used for various purposes in furniture making. rattan is very good material mainly because it is lightweight, durable, suitable for outdoor use and flexible.

PART IV


Question 12 and 13 are based on the following monologue.
This museum is located in Ambarawa in central Java. The musseum focuses on the collection of steam locomotive. Ambarawa was a military city during the dutch colonial government. King Willem I ordered the construction of the new railway station to enable the government to transport it's troops to Semarang. On may the 21st 1873, the Ambarawa railway station was built on 100,027,500 squares meter land. Back then it was known as the Willem I station. The Ambarawa railway museum was established much later on October 16, 1976 in the Ambarawa station to preserve the steam locomotive. They were coming to the end of their useful life when the 3 feet 6 inches guard railway or the Indonesian state railway or Perusahaan Negara Kereta Api was closed. The steam locomotives are parked in the open air next to the original station.

Question 14 and 15 are based on the following monologue.
A long time ago, in the village in East Kalimantan. There lived a rich family of pak Pesut. Everybody knew him, not because of his wealth, but because of his stinginess. During a long dry season, the villagers were planning to leave the village and look for the place that had enough water for cultivating rice. Some villagers went to pak Pesut's house to inform him about a new place. He refused to join them believing he had enough rice to survive before their stock of rice run out. One morning, when pak Pesut's wife was cooking their last piece of rice, a beggar came to his house, he asked for some rice but pak Pesut lied to him that he didn't have any rice. Pak Pesut was worried thet the beggar would steal the rice, so he told his family to eat hot rice from the cooking pot. It was so hot that they felt their mouth were burning and they jump into the river, the beggar saw that and prayed to God, amazingly pak Pesut's family slowly changed into fish that looked like dolphins. Since then everybody called that fish "Pesut Fish".

14. Narrator: What did the beggar ask for?
Dijelaskan dalam teks monolog "a beggar came to his house, he asked for some rice". Pengemis tersebut datang ke rumah pak Pesut untuk meminta Rice.

15. Narrator: What did pak Pesut ask his family to eat hot rice?
Alasan pak Pesut meyuruh keluarganya untuk memakan nasi tersebut dalam keadaan panas, karena dia takut nasinya akan dicuri oleh pengemis tersebut He didn't want the rice to be stolen.
